Zbigniew Preisner (birth name Zbigniew Antoni Kowalski) was born on May 20, 1955 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. He is one of the most famous Polish composers, known first of all for his work with Krzysztof Kieślowski, a Polish film director. Preisner wrote main themes for such films as Three Colors: Blue, Three Colors: Red. After these works he was hired by Francis Ford Coppola for writing a soundtrack. And Preisner wrote music for The Secret Garden (you can download it in mp3 from our site) directed by Agnieszka Holland. He won two Cesar Awards and Silver Bear at Berlin Film Festival. He also collaborated with BBC, and another director Thomas Vinterberg. Zbigniew Preisner has his own musical project named “Silence, Night and Dreams”.
