| Biography: |
Zapp (known also as Zapp Band or Zapp and Roger) are the funk and soul band formed in 1978 by the Troutman brothers – Roger, Larry, Lester, Tony and Terry. They rose to fame after issuing their debut album titled Zapp mainly because of the hit More Bounce to the Ounce which reached #2 on the Hot Soul Singles Chart. The next hit number one was Dance Floor, Part 1 which topped R’n’B chart. You can download it from our site in mp3. Zapp faced a really tragic event happened on April 25 1999 when the two leaders of the group Roger and Larry died. Larry committed murder-suicide. The real reason is still unknown, though there are many versions, like a business dispute or Larry’s abnormal state of mind, as he hadn’t slept for several days. Despite this tragic event the other group members still continue working.
