Xavier Rudd is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in 1978 in Torquay, Victoria, Australia. His music style can be classified as alternative and blues’n’roots. He incorporated in his music Aboriginal vocals of Australian and Canadian people. His songs raise such themes as environmentalism and rights of Aboriginal people. He plays many instruments including guitar (6 and 12 string acoustic and electric), Yidakis (Didgeridoos), harmonica, drums, dobro, bass dobro, bass guitar, the spoons, djembe, Aztec Organette and some others. Rudd has many followers in Australia. His second album Solace, released in 2004 was certified Platinum by ARIA.
