Willie Hugh Nelson (known as Willie Nelson) was born on April 30, 1933 in Abbott, Texas, the US. He’s an American country singer-songwriter, actor, activist, poet. Despite his age he remains an icon in American popular culture. He rose to fame during the period called “the outlaw country”. At that time, in 70s, he produced his first hit single, a cover of Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain (written by Fred Rose in 1945). And “the outlaw country” appeared because the music didn’t match the Nashville Standards. His other hits are Midnight Rider, On the Road Again, To All the Girls I've Loved Before" (a duet with Julio Iglesias). Then he played in a group The Highwaymen and they reached immense popularity with platinum records and worldwide tour. In 1996 he featured the Beach Boy’s album where he performed the cover of their song "The Warmth of the Sun".
