Wilbur Addison Smith is a South-American author born on January 9, 1933 in Broken Hill, Northern Rhodesia, now Zambia. Currently he resides in London. He was born in the English family. He received his education in the Cordwalles Preparatory School, Michaelhouse in Natal and Rhodes University. After graduation, he became a journalist and wrote articles on social themes concerning South Africa. His debut novel When the Lion Feeds was published in 1964 and gained him first real success. Since that time he has become one of the best-selling authors. He writes about nature and adventures in South Africa. Many of his novels are series about several generations of families.
