Wheatus are an American rock band formed in Northport, New York, the United States in 1995. The band was founded by Brendan B. Brown. The current line-up composes of Brendan B. Brown – vocals, guitar, Kevin Garcia – drums, Gerard Hoffmann – keyboards, Matt Milligan – bass, Johanna Cranitch – back-up vocals and Karlie Bruce – back-up vocals. The band achieved the mainstream success with their debut self-titled album. The album spawned a hit single “Teenage Dirtbag”. The song was very popular and reached number 2 on the UK Singles chart. The next single “A Little Respect” (Erasure cover) continued their success and was in the top 3 on the charts. The album became number 7 on the UK Albums chart and was number 55 in Australia.
