Warren Griffin III, better known under his stage name Warren G. is an American rapper, singer, producer and DJ, born on November 10, 1971 in Long Beach, California, the United States. Warren G. embarked on a music scene in 1990. He formed rap group together with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg. Dr. Dre is Warren G.’s brother. He signed Snoop Dogg to his Suge Knight’s record and the group 213 split before releasing any albums. Each rapper pursued solo career. Warren G. released his debut album Regulate... G Funk Era was released in 1994 through Def Jam. The album has become his biggest commercial success receiving 3 x Platinum certification in the U.S. and Gold in Canada. The album’s track "Regulate" (feat. Nate Dogg) was included in Above the Rim OST and was released as a single. The single reached number one on the US Rap and number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
