American disco and dance band Village People from New York City, was founded in 1997. The band's current line-up comprises Victor Willis (police officer), Felipe Rose (American Indian chief), Randy Jones (cowboy), Glenn Hughes (biker), David Hodo (construction worker) and Alex Briley (Military man). They quickly gained popularity in the late 1990s with their self-titled debut album, which three biggest hits such as "San Francisco (You've Got Me)", "In Hollywood (Everybody is a Star)" and "Village People". The album's lead single, "San Francisco (You've Got Me)", reached number 45 in the UK. They continued the success with the album, Cruisin', which spawned the singles, "Hot Cop" and "Y.M.C.A."
