The Verve (originally Verve) is an English rock band formed in Wigan, Greater Manchester, the UK in 1990. The founder members are vocalist Richard Ashcroft, guitarist Nick McCabe, bassist Simon Jones, and drummer Peter Salisbury. During its career the band faced many problems like health problems, breakups, drug abuse and lawsuits. The band’s breakthrough to the mainstream success happened in 1997 when they released their famous album Urban Hymns.
