Biography: American pop, R&B and soul singer and actress Vanessa Hudgens was born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California, United States. Starting at the age of eight, she performed in musical theater as a singer, and appeared in local productions of Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man, and Cinderella, among others. She was not able to finish her high school in Orange County High School of the Arts after being home schooled after her seventh year. After home school, she went to England and studied drama and music at Kingsbrook Business and Enterprise College. She achieved mainstream success in 2006 with her debut album, V, which produced two singles such as "Come Back to Me" and "Say OK". The album was nominated as number 7 on "Album of The Year" by Billboard Readers' Choice. The song "Let's Dance" was included in a Wii game, called "We Cheer 2".
