American R&B singer-songwriter Usher (birth name Usher Raymond IV) was born on October 14, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, United States. As a child, he joined the local church youth choir in Chattanooga. And in 1990, he won in a local talent show while attending middle school. After that, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where there was a more conducive environment for beginning singers. His self-titled debut album, Usher, was released in 1994. Sean "P Diddy" Combs produced several of the tracks and co-executive produced the album. In 2004, Usher released his most successful album, Confessions, which you may download in mp3 from our site. It produced five hit singles, "Yeah!", "Burn", "Confessions Part II", "My Boo" and "Caught Up". The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. It is also a hit number-one on the Canadian Albums Chart and the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. In 2005, Confessions won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
