Biography: UGK was an American hip-hop duo from Port Arthur, Texas, formed in 1987. The UGK stands for Underground Kingz. The project was formed by Chad Butler, known as “Pimp C”. Later he joined Bernard Freeman, known as Bun B. Together they made a very successful hip-hop project till the time when Pimp C was found dead in his hotel room. That happened on December 4, 2007. Their 2007 self-titled album became the most successful in their career. The album reached the top spot on the Billboard 200 and on R&B/Hip-hop Albums with sales more than 500,000. The album spawned a hit single "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You)" (featuring OutKast). This song was nominated for Grammy Awards in the category of Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group.
