American folk rock, rock and country rock band Traveling Wilburys from Malibu, California, was formed in 1988. It was active until 1990. The band comprised George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison. They appeared on the rock scene in the late 1980s with their debut hit single, "This Is Love", which was written by George Harrison. They quickly gained popularity with their breakthrough debut album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, which was certified platinum three times in the US and six times in Canada. This album also produced several hit singles such as "Handle with Care", "Dirty World", "Last Night", "Not Alone Any More", "Congratulations", "Tweeter and the Monkey Man" and "End of the Line".
