Toto was an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1977. The band was founded by some of the most experienced and popular session musicians. During its long career, the band featured quite many members including Steve Lukather (guitars, vocals, keyboards, mandolin), David Paich (keyboards, vocals), Bobby Kimball (vocals, occasional keyboards), Mike Porcaro (bass guitar, cello), Simon Phillips (drums, percussion, keyboards) and others. The band split in 2008. The band and some of its members worked with such stars as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Joe Satriani and others. The band released 12 studio albums and reached commercial success at the end of 70s and throughout the 80s. The band is famous for such songs as “Africa”, “Rosanna”, “Hold the Line” and others.
