Biography: Kwasi Danquah better known as Tinchy Stryder is a British Grime and hip hop singer of Ghanaian origin. He was born on June 27 1987 in Bow, East London, UK. His nick name comes from the video game Stider from his childhood and Tinchy is a moniker which was given to him due to his short height. His debut album Star in the Hood was released in 2007 and spawned two singles “Breakaway” and “Something About Your Smile”. But the album hasn’t been noticed by the public. His breakthrough happened in 2009 with a release of his follow up albums Catch 22. In a month after its release it was certified Gold in the UK and reached number 2 on the UK albums chart and number three in European Union.
