German pop, hip hop and pop rap band Tic Tac Toe from Ruhr valley, Germany, was formed in 1995. The band comprised Ricarda "Ricky" Wältken, Liane "Lee" Sprenger-Wiegelmann, Marlene "Jazzy" Tackenberg and Sara Brahms. Originally the band was formed by Claudia Wohlfromm and consisted of three women, Jazzy, Lee, and Ricky. They all were from the industrial Ruhr valley area. These girls met each other during a hip hop festival. Later, they met their future manager Claudia Wohlfromm and recruited Sara Brahms. They achieved mainstream success in 1997 with their second album, Klappe die 2te, which included their biggest hit single, "Tic Tac Toe - Warum?" spent seven weeks at number one.
