Biography: Texas is an alternative rock and pop band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band was formed in 1986 and currently consists of Sharleen Spiteri, Tony McGovern, Alistair McErlaine, Johnny McElhone, Eddie Campbell, Michael Bannister and Neil Payne. Texas quickly gained popularity with their breakthrough debut album, Southside (1989), which you may download in mp3 from our site. It spawned the band's first hit single, "I Don't Want a Lover". In 1999, the band released their most successful album, The Hush, which went straight into the UK album charts at #1, and which you may download in mp3 from our site. The album produced the first single "In Our Lifetime" which was a huge hit in the UK. The second single, "Summer Son", became a massive hit across Europe reaching the Top 5 in the UK and France, also making #1 in Croatia and Lebanon, leading the album to become their best selling so far.
