Ten Years After is an English blues-rock band formed in Nottingham, England in 1967. Originally, the band was founded in 1962 under the name The Jaybirds and was locally known in Nottingham. Ten Years After were founded by Alvin Lee and Leo Lyons. The current band’s line-up composes of Leo Lyons – bass, Chick Churchill – keyboards, Ric Lee – drums and Joe Gooch – guitar and vocals. At the beginning of its career, the band was playing blues and hard rock with jazz and roots elements. The group caught an eye of the critics due to Alvin Lee’s guitar play who was considered one of the best instrumentalists in his genre. The highest achievement in the charts is their single “Love Like a Man” peaked at number 10. Many of their albums reached the top 40 and two climbed on #4 - Ssssh (1969) и Cricklewood Green (1970).
