French trip hop and electronic music band Telepopmusik was formed in 1998. The band comprises Fabrice Dumont (bassist of the pop band Autour de Lucie), Stephan Haeri (also known as 2 square for his solo projects) and Christophe Hetier. They emerged on the European electronic music scene in 2001 with their breakthrough debut album, Genetic World, which was released through Capitol record label. It also produced the band's first hit singles such as "Yesterday Was a Lie", "L'Incertitude D'Heisenberg (Heisenberg Uncertainty)", "Breathe" (featuring Angela McCluskey) and "Genetic World". The album's lead single, "Breathe", reached number nine on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play and number 42 on the UK Singles Chart. In 2004, this song also was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Dance Recording.
