SWV, or Sisters With Voices are an American R&B/pop trio formed in New York City, New York, the United States in 1990. The band broke up in 1998 but they reunited in 2005 and the group is going to release their next album in 2010. The group’s line-up composes of Cheryl "Coko" Clemons, Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons. The band has released three studio albums, one extended play and thirteen singles. The debut album It’s About Time was released in 1992. The album became very popular and was certified 3 x Platinum by RIAA. It reached number 8 on the Billboard 200 and number 17 on the UK albums chart. The album yielded a hit single number one “Weak” which received Platinum status.
