Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, the United States in 1967. The band is also known as The Steve Miller Blues Band and The Miller Band. It was founded by Steve Miller who is the band band’s leader and its lead vocalist and guitarist. The band’s line up underwent multiple changes and the current members are Steve Miller, Norton Buffalo, Gordy Knudtson, Billy Peterson, Kenny Lee Lewis, Joseph Wooten and Sonny Charles. The band has recorded quite a number of albums since 1968, the time when the debut album Children of the Future was released. The last band’s release was in 2007 and it is Live from Chicago (DVD). The band has produced several top Billboard Hot 100 singles, including three number one songs "The Joker", "Rock'n Me" and "Abracadabra".
