Biography: Sly and the Family Stone are an American rock band formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California, the United States. The band has been led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Sly Stone. They were active from 1966 till 1975. During that period, the band composed of Sly’s friends and some of his family members, like his brother Freddie Stone (vocals, guitar) and his sister Rose Stone (vocals, keyboards). The other members of the original line-up were trumpeter Cynthia Robinson, drummer Gregg Errico, saxophonist Jerry Martini, and bassist Larry Graham. The band has become a great influence on such genres like soul, funk, and psychedelic music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band’s main songs are "Everyday People", "Hot Fun in the Summertime”, "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)", "Family Affair" and others.
