Biography: Silvertide is an American rock band coming from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band was founded in 2001 under the moniker Vertigo. The original line-up composed of lead singer Walt Lafty, lead guitarist Nick Perri, rhythm guitarist Mark Melchiorre, drummer Kevin Frank and bassist Brian Weaver. The band members were still in a high school when they began playing gigs in local Philadelphia clubs. The band achieved their break when they opened for Aerosmith during their world tour. The band was noticed by record labels and soon they were signed by Clive Davis’ J Records. Their debut release wan American Excess EP in 2003. Their first full length album Show and Tell was recorded in Los Angeles and released in 2004. The album spawned several hit singles like "Ain't Comin' Home", "Blue Jeans" and "Devil's Daughter".
