Biography: Scouting for Girls are a British pop rock, indie rock and pop band formed in 2005 in London, the UK. The band was founded by Roy Stride (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Greg Churchouse (bass guitar) and Peter Ellard (percussion). The band’s name is a play on the “Scouting for Boys”, the first book in the genre that was released in 1908. The band signed Epic Records in the UK in 2007 and began working on their debut album. The debut self-titled album was released in 2007 and reached number 1 on the UK Albums chart and was certified 2 x Platinum. The album was supported by such hit singles like "She's So Lovely", "Elvis Ain't Dead", "Heartbeat" and minor hits "It's Not About You" and "I Wish I Was James Bond".
