German techno and hardcore techno band Scooter from Hamburg, Germany, was formed in 1993. The band comprises H.P. Baxxter, Rick J. Jordan and Michael Simon. In 1994, they played their first live show at "The Palladium" in Hamburg, where vocalist H.P. Baxxter began freestyling to an instrumental dance track, thus the melody "Hyper Hyper" being born. "Hyper Hyper" reached number 2 on Germany's Media Control single chart. The band's next single "Move Your Ass" reached number 3 within Media Control's single chart. So in 1995, the band released their debut album, ...And The Beat Goes On. The band is considered to be the most successful German band with 20 top ten hits.
