Biography: Samuel Roy Hagar, known as Sammy Hagar, or The Red Rocker, was born on October 13, 1947 in Monterey, California, the United States. He’s an American rock singer, guitarist, composer and solo rock artist. Hagar is known best of all as one of the vocalists of the heavy metal band Van Halen and of one more band in 1970s called Montrose. His recent project is supergroup Chickenfoot which includes also Chad Smith, Joe Satriani and Michael Anthony. Hagar was inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen. During his solo career he has many backing bands and the one is The Waboristas, consisting of David Lauser, Jesse Harms, Vic Johnson and Tommy Tutone. Hagar has released quite a number of solo albums and only only two of them were certified Platinum, namely Standing Hampton and VOA.
