Samhain was an American rock band formed in 1983 by Glenn Danzig. Danzig is known for his membership on the band The Misfits and Samhain was supposed to be his side-project, but when the Misfits disbanded Samhain became his main focus. The band’s style can be describes as horror punk, death rock, heavy metal and gothic metal. In 1987, the band changed its name for Danzig. The band is known for their “horror” live shows when the band appeared on the stage covered in blood. The lyrics had an occult flavor and the band’s name itself is taken after the Ancient Celtic New Year. The band has released three albums. The debut one Initium was released in 1984. The last one Final Descent came out in 1990. You can download Samhain’s last album in mp3 from our site. The band featured many members, the founding ones are Glenn Danzig, Brian Baker, Lyle Preslar and Steve Zing.
