George Roger Waters, known as Roger Waters was born on September 6, 1943 in Great Bookham, Surrey, England. He is an English rock musician known best of all as bass guitarist and one of the main songwriters and lead vocalists in the English band Pink Floyd since 1964 till 1985. The band split in 1985 and Waters began a solo career. He released nine albums but his works didn’t chart a lot. He is known first of all for performing one of the largest concerts in the world The Wall Concert in Berlin in 1990. The concert was dedicated to the union of Germany after the end of Cold War. He also have been working on The Wall musical for Broadway. During the Live 8 concert he joined other Pink Floyd musicians and they played a 20 minute set of 4 songs.
