Robin Miriam Carlsson, known by her stage name Robyn was born on June 12 1979 in Stockholm, Sweden. She’s a Swedish pop singer-songwriter working in such genres as pop, dance, electronica, R & B and hip hop. She entered the music industry at the age of 16 signing a deal with RCA Records. Her debut album Robyn is Here was released in 1997 and became a real breakthrough earning the mainstream success. The album spawned such hit singles as Show Me Love and Do You Know (What It Takes). Later she released three more albums, all of them were ranked Platinum in Sweden and the last one Robyn became Gold in the UK.
