American professional speaker and self-help writer Anthony Robbins (also known as Tony Robbins) was born on February 29, 1960, in North Hollywood, California USA. When he was seven years old, his parents divorced. Later, his mother remarried twice. He adopted the surname of his first stepfather, Jim Robbins. He is well known for his professional relationship with various public figures including Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, François Mitterrand, and Princess Diana. In the late 1980s, he published his first edition titled Unlimited Power. He also had several appearances in television series and movies such as The Sopranos, Shallow Hal and The Cable Guy.
