Robert Kelly Thomas (known as Rob Thomas) was born on February 14, 1972, in Landstuhl, West Germany on a US military base. He's an American rock artist and songwriter. During his career he was a lead vocalist in such groups as Matchbox Twenty and Tabitha's Secret. And he also performs as a solo artist. He won 3 Grammy Awards with Carlos Santana for cowritten and together performed song "Smooth" which was a great worldwide hit. He wrote songs for such artists like Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Marc Anthony and some others. Being a solo artist he produced quite a number of hits including Lonely No More, Ever the Same, This is How a Heart Breaks, Little Wonders, and Her Diamonds.
