British electronic and electroclash musician and DJ Riton was born on October 15, 1978, in Newcastle upon Tyne, in North East England. He began DJing while his education at the University of Newcastle. During that time, he often performed at the local nightclubs and bars along with various electronic music bands. During one of his performances he caught the attention of Mark Rae who was the manager of Grand Central Records independent record label. Very soon, he signed with this record company. After this deal, he began recording his debut album, Beats du Jour, which was released in 2001. This record was highly praised by critics. Three years later, he released his breakthrough album, Homies and Homos, which produced the smash hit singles such as "Henney", "Shite Hawk", "Anger Man", "Damaged Goods" and "Killing An Arab".
