Rex Todhunter Stout was an American crime writer born on December 1, Noblesville, Indiana, the United States and died on October 27, 1975 in Danbury, Connecticut, the United States. He is known for creating Nero Wolfe, a fictional detective, the protagonist of his novels. The cases solved by Nero Wolfe were written down by his assistant Archie Goodwin. You can download Nero Wolfe stories in mp3 from our site. Stout graduated from Topeka High School, Kansas, attended The University of Kansas. He served in the U.S. Navy two years and during the next four years he changed about thirty different jobs. He earned his first big amount of money inventing the school banking system and traveled in Europe. His first book “How Like a God” was written in Paris. Later he came back to the United States where he wrote the debut Nero Wolfe novel “Fer-de-Lance”.
