Reverend Horton Heat is a moniker of Jim Heath, who is a bandleader of an American psychobilly and rockabilly band of the same name. The band was formed in Dallas, Texas, the United States in 1985. The current band members are Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath – guitar and vocals, Jimbo Wallace – upright bass and vocals, and Paul Simmons – drums. The band has released quite a number of albums. Despite the fact that their music is not the mainstream pop tunes, they found their way to the mainstream. Their music was used for Mazda Miata commercial and for Levi’s jeans commercial. A cover for “Watusi Rodeo” was included for the movie Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls soundtrack. Currently the band actively tours around the U.S. and Europe.
