Ratt is an American heavy-metal band from Los Angeles, California, the United States formed in 1976. The current band members are Stephen Pearcy (lead vocals, occasionally rhythm and lead guitars), Warren DeMartini (lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals), ,Carlos Cavazo (rhythm and lead guitars, backing vocals), Robbie Crane (bass, backing vocals) and Bobby Blotzer (drums, percussion). Originally, the band was called Mickey Ratt and only in 1981, it was shortened to Ratt. Their sound has been influenced by the 70s hard rock and glam metal bands like Van Halen, Aerosmith and Kiss. The band has released six studio albums, three compilation albums and one extended play. The peak of their success was during 1980s. At that time, the band released four consecutive successful albums. The best-selling one is Out of the Cellar which went on 3 x Multi-Platinum.
