Quincy Delight Jones Jr. also known as Leigh Warren was born on March 14, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. He is an American musician, conductor, producer, arranger and composer working in wide range of genres including pop, funk, soul, swing, jazz, bossa nova and others. He is known as the producer of the world’s best-selling album Thriller by Michael Jackson and the winner of 25 Grammys, having in total 70 nominations. He was an arranger of such artists like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan. Besides Thriller, he produced other Michael Jackson albums like “Off the Wall” and “Bad”. Being a film composer he wrote music for Kill Bill, Austin Powers, Mackenna’s Gold, The New Centurions and many others (about 50 in total). During his career, he has released 16 studio albums.
