Scottish folk, rock and pop rock band The Proclaimers from Auchtermuchty, was formed in 1983. The band's current line-up comprises Charlie Reid and Craig Reid. They appeared on the Scottish music scene in the late 1980s with their debut album, This Is the Story, which included the band's first biggest hit, "Letter from America". This single reached number 3 in the UK Singles Chart. This Is the Story also received gold certification in the UK. Now, you may download this album by The Proclaimers in mp3 from our site. Their second album, Sunshine on Leith, yielded two hit singles such as "I'm On My Way", which peaked at number 43 in the UK and "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)", which peaked at number 11 in the UK and at number 3 in the US Billboard Hot 100. They are also well known for their soundtracks for Benny and Joon' ("I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)"), Shrek ("I'm on My Way"), Dumb and Dumber ("Get Ready") and The Crossing ("King of the Road").
