Primal Fear is a German power metal and heavy metal band formed in 1997 in Esslingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The band’s initial line-up composed of Ralf Scheepers (vocals), Mat Sinner (bass and vocals), Stefan Leibing and Tom Naumann (guitars). The current members are Ralf Scheepers (lead vocals), Henny Wolter (guitars), Magnus Karlsson (guitars), Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Randy Black (drums). The band’s primary genre can be classified as power metal or Teutonic thrash metal. The main lyrical themes are science fiction, though they may refer to some controversial issues like politics and religion. The band has released quite a number of albums.
