Philip David Charles Collins, known as Phil Collins is an English singer-songwriter, drummer, keyboardist and actor born on January 30, 1951 in London, England. He rose to fame as drummer and vocalist of the progressive rock band Genesis and as a solo artist as well. The peak of his solo career lasted throughout the 1980s until the beginning of 90s when he released several consecutive Platinum albums. His debut solo album Face Value was released in 1981 and quickly reached the mass popularity becoming number 1 in the UK and Canada. Two of his albums were number one on the both sides of the Atlantic – No Jacket Required and …But Seriously. His main hit singles are "In the Air Tonight", "You Can't Hurry Love", "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)", "A Groovy Kind of Love" and "Another Day in Paradise".
