Paul Robert Potts, known as just Paul Potts is a British tenor who was born on October 13, 1970 in Kingswood, Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom. He rose to fame as a winner of the TV show Britain’s Got Talent in 2007. Before becoming a famous opera singer he got an Honours degree from University College Plymouth St Mark & St John, majoring in Humanities, was elected the the youngest member of Bristol City Council as Liberal Democrat and later worked as a manager at mobile phone store Carphone Warehouse. Being an amateur he earned standing ovation and the highest vote in the TV show. He performed Giacomo Puccini's "Nessun Dorma in the final and became a winner.
