Paul Brandon Gilbert, known just as Paul Gilbert is an American musician born on November 6, 1966 in Carbondale, Illinois, the United States. He is known first of all as virtuoso guitarist, one of the fastest guitarists of the world, according to Guitar’s World list and he was ranked number 4 on the GuitarOne magazine list of The Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time". He is also known for his work with such bands as Racer X and Mr. Big. Besides this work, he took part in many projects with other famous musicians and he has a successful solo career. Gilbert took part in the G3 tour featuring Joe Satriani and John Petrucci as well. He was a member of Led Zeppelin tribute band along with Mike Portnoy.
