Grammy Award-winning American rock, hard rock, pop rock, blues, opera and new wave singer Pat Benatar (birth name Patricia Mae Andrzejewski) was born on January 10, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York, USA. She is one of the top-selling female artists of all-time, and one of the 1980s Top Platinum Album Recipients, according to the Recording Industry Association of America with two RIAA-certified Multi-Platinum albums and five RIAA-certified Platinum albums, plus three RIAA-certified Gold albums and 19 Top 40 singles to her credit. In 1980, she released her most successful album, Crimes of Passion, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and produced the hits "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" (US number 9), "You Better Run" (US number 42), "Treat Me Right" (US number 18), plus a cover of Kate Bush's international hit, "Wuthering Heights".
