British new wave, synthpop and electronic music band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (simply known as OMD) from The Wirral, Merseyside, was formed in 1978. The band's current line-up comprises Andy McCluskey (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards), Paul Humphreys (vocals, keyboards), Martin Cooper (keyboards, saxophone) and Malcolm Holmes (drums, percussion). Initially the group was founded by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys. In the late 1970s, they signed to DinDisc record label and immediately began recording their debut album. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark was released in 1980 and yielded three singles, "Electricity", "Red Frame/White Light" and "Messages". Five years later, they released their most successful album, Crush, which produced the hit singles, "So in Love", "Secret" and "La Femme Accident".
