Biography: American new wave and ska band Oingo Boingo was formed in Los Angeles, California, the United States in 1972. The band broke up in 1995 and during most of its history, it was led by vocalist and songwriter Danny Elfman. The band’s line-up wasn’t stable and other long active band members are Leon Schneiderman, Steve Bartek and John “Vatos” Hernandez. The band was founded under the name The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. They were also known as Clowns of Death, Mosley & B-Men. During its career, the band has released 8 studio albums, one live album, seven compilation albums, two extended plays and 5 singles. The band wasn’t noticed smashing the charts, but their music is considered very influential. The band contributed a lot for soundtracks. The last band’s album is titled Boingo.
