British rock and britpop band Oasis from Manchester, was formed in 1991. The band comprises Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock. They have sold around 70 million records worldwide. The band rose to fame in 1994 with their debut album, Definitely Maybe, which produced four hit singles, "Supersonic", "Shakermaker", "Live Forever" and "Cigarettes & Alcohol". It was the fastest selling debut album of all time in the UK when released, and has been certified 7x Platinum in the UK.
