Biography: Nouvelle Vague is a French musical collective founded in France in 2003. It’s led by two musicians Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. The band’s name means “new wave” in French which refers to the “new wave of French cinema in the 1960s” and to the main source of their music – post-rock and New Wave. The band is famous for creating covers for the songs of many famous bands. The debut album Nouvelle Vague was released in 2004. The duo invited female singers from different parts of the world for recording the album. This album saw the band covers for Joy Division, The Clash, XTC, Modern English and The Undertones. The next album Bande a Part came out in 2006. This time, the band covered "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)" by Buzzcocks, "Blue Monday" by New Order and some other famous songs.
