American hip hop singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer Notorious B.I.G. (birth name Christopher George Latore Wallace; May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997) was born in New York City, New York, United States. He was also known as Biggie Smalls. When he was only ten years, he started dealing drugs. It was time of crack epidemic. In the early 1990s, he signed to Bad Boy record label and began recording his debut album. He achieved mainstream success in the mid-1990 with his debut breakthrough album, Ready to Die, which has been certified platinum four times. It also produced several singles such as "Juicy", "Big Poppa" and "One More Chance". This album caught attention of Sean "Puffy" Combs' record label, Uptown Records.
