Nirvana is a cult American rock band formed in Aberdeen, Washington, US in 1987 by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic. The band changed a lot of drummers and Dave Grohl stayed with them longer then others. The band ended its existence in 1994 when Kurt Cobain committed suicide. In 1991 Nirvana entered the mainstream success releasing the album Nevermind and the hit single Smells Like Teen Spirit which you can download in mp3 from our site. The next albums Incesticide and In Utero continued their success. In total the group has sold more then 50 million albums around the world. The unfinished demo, You Know, You’re Right was published in 2002 and topped the charts all around the world. Other famous Nirvana songs are Rape Me, Come As You Are, Heart-Shaped Box and many others. Kurt Cobain appeared to be the voice of the generation of that time and Nirvana became the flagship of the generation X.
