| Biography: |
Swedish progressive rock, progressive metal and goth rock band Nightingale from Örebro, Sweden, was formed in 1995. The band comprises Dan Swanö (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Dag Swanö (Tom Nouga) (bass, guitars, keyboards, vocals), Tom Björn (drums) and Erik Oskarsson (bass). The band began as a solo goth rock project of Dan Swanö, designed to explore his brief fascination with the genre, also evident on Edge of Sanity tracks such as "Sacrificed". In 1995, they released their debut album, The Breathing Shadow, which produced ten tracks including "The Dreamreader", "Higher Than the Sky", "Recovery Opus" and "The Return to Dreamland". Their second album, The Closing Chronicles, was released in 1996. With their following album, I (2000), they became a real band, not just a side project of Dag and Dan.
