New Seekers are a pop group based in Britain. It was formed in 1969 by Keith Potger as the new band after his first band Seekers has split. The band’s line up was changing a lot and the current one consists of Paul Layton, Donna Jones, Francine Rees, Mick Flynn and Mark Hankins. The group rose to fame in the beginning of 1970s with such their hit singles as Never Ending Song of Love and adaptation of Coca Cola jingle which has become a song I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing. The band was chosen to represent the Great Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest. The finished second with their song Beg, Steel or Borrow which became a hit #2 in the UK and it was sold well in the continental Europe too. Despite such a big success the band disbanded in 1974. They reformed in 1976 and they still continue to play. You can download New Seekers’ last album It’s Been a Long Time – Greatest Hits and More in mp3 from our site.
